462 pound South German style single horn with upsetting block. Excellent rebound with very few chips on the edges. Face has minor marks and is otherwise smooth as is the horn. Anvil has excellent rebound. See the pictures. No manufactures stamp that I could find. Just the 213 kgs stamp on the upsetting block.
418 pound North German style double horn with upsetting block. This anvil has excellent rebound. There is some chipping on the edges, see photos. Face and horn has a few minor marks but otherwise nice and smooth. No makers stamp that I can find.
424 pound Saw Makers anvil made by Mousehole Forge in Sheffield England. From the stamping it looks like this anvil was made between 1911 and 1927. Reference Richard Postman’s book “Mousehole Forge” page 67. Real sweet anvil with good edges and smooth face.
667 POUND North German Pattern Double Horn with Upsetting Block. Made by Holthaus. Not many anvils over 650 pounds around and this one has exceptional rebound with very few marks to the face and a few chips to the edges. Pritchel hole is partially plugged. A super high quality anvil!
421 Pound North German Pattern Double Horn. Unknown maker for this anvil. Anvil has excellent rebound with some chips on the edges. Face has light hammer marks and the heel was kissed by a torch in the past. See pictures.
For Sale, 730 pound North German Pattern double horn with (short) upsetting block. This monster of an anvil is for those folks that absolutely have to have the biggest anvil in town. This super sized anvil has fantastic rebound and a smooth face with good edges. Anvil is stamped”FB” (see pictures) but I have been unable to find who manufactured this one.
